In what is the second of four away league games in a row for the first team, Medbourne looked to have all of the attributes to cause an upset.
The manager Kev Bunting, had this to say after the game.
"[It was] an entertaining game with both teams playing nice passing football on what was a good playing surface at Medbourne.
"We took an early lead when Jo Jo scored a worldy from the right-hand edge of the box, firing into the far top left corner.
"Medbourne then had a good spell of possession causing us problems on the break, but a couple of good saves from Joe Haynes and committed blocks in the box meant we took a 1-0 lead in to the half time break.
"The second half was much the same with, Medbourne creating the better chances without finding the back of the net.
"Credit to the lads for what was a very committed performance to keep a clean sheet the earn 3 points.
"Next Game is against Blisworth FC away. Blisworth are a top side and football club as a whole; one that I have the utmost respect and admiration for based on the success they have had in recent years in the Northants Combination league.
"We go into the game with confidence and a great togetherness but will need to be at are very best to come away with anything from the game."
